			Our prenatal meeting was Very Helpful!!  It  totally got me prepared for what to expect.  I had no idea what it would be like.  You relaxed me and helped me not worry so much about the delivery... Our prenatal meeting was so informal it didn?t even feel like a meeting.  Yet it served a huge purpose, reaffirming the fact that each labor is unique and we can make up the laboring plan as we go along...I also loved just hearing that there are so many options available for pain management.  My previous impression was epidural or natural.  (All or nothing)... You were so good at providing  physical support and comfort.  Both [my husband] and I felt so comfortable with you there... You were as strong (almost) as my contractions!... I loved having [my husband] involved- and he appreciated the direction, and the opportunity to be involved as well.  Also, he was completely not threatened by your presence.  If [he] was a little hesitant about you being there before the fact, during and after the fact he was thrilled and grateful. The support you provided us in terms of getting us out the door, into the car and to the hospital were essential. We sometimes wonder how we would have managed it without you... As a pregnant woman I wanted to prepare for the birth of my child in a way I had never wanted to prepare for anything before in my life.  Learning to let my body work and trusting in its process allowed me to have an intrinsic birth.  Giving birth drastically changed how I view myself and the world around me...  You taught us that every couple should go to the birth of their child armed with information and belief in themselves and trust that they will not be patients and bystanders at the birth of their child, but instead be the catalysts from which their family is born.  Your classes prepared us and your prescense at our birth enabled us to have the birth we wanted... With my first, I remember coming home and feeling sad and lonely. It is so different this time--the birth was my birth and I feel like I got to call the shots and be in control of what happenned.  You made sure nothing happenned without our informed consent and agreement.  It was a such a positive experience... I just can't figure out how we had the first three without you!!...(from a dad)
