Here's the deal with Swedish Ballard--it doesn't look "fancy" when you go to visit. It doesn't have a big tub in each
room though they do have one you can use. The rooms are oddly shaped and everything sort of creaks when you
go near it. HOWEVER: If you are looking for a mother-friendly place to deliver, this is a great option. There is a
group of midwives that practice here so the nurses are used to working with laboring mothers who do not want to
use medication and will be great supports for you! There is a comfy couch for dad in the room and just a really
great atmosphere. They are helpful and friendly and knowledgeable too. Best Advice is to use the shower in your
room--the shower head comes down and you can massage your hard working belly in circular motions with it. It
feels great!
